A carrot-flavoured paste containing probiotics, prebiotics, and fibre to support healthy digestion, normal gut motility, and provide additional energy.
Probiotic
Fibreplex contains the live yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae (CNCM I‑4407) 4b1702 to help maintain a balanced and healthy gut environment.
Prebiotic
Preplex is a prebiotic blend of oligofructose and acacia (Gum Arabic) that helps nourish beneficial gut bacteria and support digestive health.
Fibre
Inulin fibre promotes normal gut motility and efficient digestion.
Energy
The daily dose supplies one quarter of the daily resting energy requirement (RER) for convenient nutritional support.
Artificial Carrot Flavour
The artificial carrot flavour aids palatability and encourages easy acceptance.
Administer 1 ml per kg of body weight by mouth, three times daily, for 2–3 days or as advised by your veterinary surgeon.
Fibreplex is supplied in a 15 ml syringe for easy and accurate dosing.
To administer the correct amount of product, use the handy dosing wheel on the syringe plunger. Rotate the wheel until it is positioned to the right of the number representing the desired quantity to be given (as indicated on the dose table printed on the packaging). This sets the correct amount of paste to be dispensed, see the diagram below showing the correct and incorrect position for 10 ml.
Remove the cap from the end of the syringe and press the plunger until it stops at the dial to deliver the product directly into your pet’s mouth. Alternatively, the paste can be mixed with your pet’s food. After each use, ensure the nozzle is thoroughly cleaned and dried, and always replace the cap to keep the syringe clean and ready for next use.

No. Fibreplex contains a probiotic specifically for herbivores and is not licensed for dogs or cats.
Fibreplex is designed for short-term use, typically for 2–3 days or as advised by your veterinary surgeon. If your pet’s digestive issues persist or you feel ongoing support may be needed, please consult your vet before continuing use.
Yes. Fibreplex can be mixed with food or given straight from the syringe.
Fibreplex should never be added to hot food or mixed in before cooking as this will kill the probiotic. We recommend letting the food cool to lukewarm before mixing in Fibreplex.
Fibreplex contains yeast and soya, so it may not be suitable for rabbits with known allergies to these ingredients. It does not contain wheat and the flavouring is fully artificial, making it suitable for pets with common food allergies other than yeast or soya intolerance.
Fibreplex can be safely used alongside other products in the Protexin Veterinary range for rabbits. If your rabbit is receiving medication, it’s best to give Fibreplex a few hours later to avoid any potential reduction in absorption.
Yes. Fibreplex can be used from 8 weeks of age.
Store Fibreplex in a cool, dry place at room temperature, out of direct sunlight.
Fibreplex will remain effective until the Best Before End (BBE) date printed on the syringe, provided it is stored in a cool, dry place. After each use, ensure the nozzle is cleaned and dried thoroughly and the cap replaced to keep the product fresh and hygienic.
No. We do not advise using any product that has passed the expiry date on the package.
Accidental exposure to sunlight or high temperatures will not make Fibreplex harmful to your rabbit. However, the ingredients may become less effective if the product has been exposed to heat for an extended period.
