A unique combination of calming ingredients
Alpha-casozepine: Derived from cow’s milk, Alpha-casozepine is a natural bioactive peptide which helps promote calmness and relaxation.
L-tryptophan: L-tryptophan is an essential amino acid involved in the production of serotonin, often referred to as the ‘happy hormone’, which supports normal mood and behaviour.
Postbiotics: Protexin Veterinary SereniCare Sachets contain a calming postbiotic blend of heat-treated Lactobacillus rhamnosus CECT8361 and Bifidobacterium longum CECT7347 to help manage stress- and anxiety-related behaviours.
Fibersol: Fibersol is a prebiotic that helps feed beneficial gut bacteria, supporting a healthy microbiome and normal gut–brain communication.
SereniCare is supplied as a powder in individual sachets. Empty the contents of the sachet and mix thoroughly into your pet’s food.
Give once daily according to your pet’s body weight (as shown on the product packaging and SereniCare product page). If required, an additional dose may be given 90–120 minutes before the expected anxious event. Dosage may be adjusted as directed by your veterinarian.
SereniCare is suitable for long-term use and may be used alongside appropriate behavioural training.
* Individual animals can vary. Effects may be seen sooner in some animals, though may take up to 6 weeks in others.

Gastrointestinal and brain health are intrinsically linked.
Petbiotix: Our Petbiotix have been expertly developed to support a healthy microbiome. The microbiome is essential for the normal functioning of the gastrointestinal tract, the gut-brain axis, and the gut’s interaction with the rest of the body. Our Petbiotix help support the natural balance in your pet’s gut and keep them at their best.
Prebiotics: Prebiotics are ingredients that pets cannot digest themselves, but which selectively feed beneficial bacteria, supporting a diverse and healthy microbiome. SereniCare contains Fibersol®, a prebiotic fibre, to provide this support.
Postbiotics: Postbiotics are inactivated (non-living) microorganisms that still provide health benefits. In SereniCare, the bacteria Bifidobacterium longum CECT7347 and Lactobacillus rhamnosus CECT8361 are heat-treated to create postbiotics.

Yes. SereniCare is safe for long-term use.
Yes, SereniCare can be mixed with water. Please note that it will not dissolve, instead it forms a paste. This paste can be mixed into your pet’s food or administered directly into their mouth using a syringe.
SereniCare should never be added to hot food or mixed in before cooking. We recommend letting the food cool to lukewarm before mixing in SereniCare.
SereniCare does not contain chicken, soya, wheat, or yeast. The flavouring is fully artificial and contains no meat proteins, making it suitable for pets with common food allergies.
SereniCare does contain a milk protein (α-casozepine). This ingredient is broken down (hydrolysed) and contains very low levels of lactose, which are not considered significant, even for pets with lactose intolerance.
SereniCare can be used alongside most products in the Protexin Veterinary range, as well as probiotics and calming plug-in diffusers such as pheromone or essential oil products. As an oral supplement, it provides calming support both at home and when you’re out and about.
If you wish to use SereniCare alongside Cystophan or Denamarin, please contact our technical team first.
If your pet is taking other behavioural medications or supplements, we recommend speaking with your veterinarian before use.
SereniCare is not recommended for use during pregnancy or lactation. While the use of L-tryptophan has not been studied in pregnant animals, pregnant and breastfeeding women are advised to avoid L-tryptophan supplementation, so caution is advised.
