Capsules can either be given whole, or opened and sprinkled onto food, to make supplementing your cat or dog’s diet simple.
Protexin Veterinary Cobalaplex Capsules contain cobalamin, also known as vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 plays an important role in cell function, DNA synthesis, metabolising amino and fatty acids, and the formation of red blood cells.
Folic acid, also known as vitamin B9, is also essential for DNA synthesis and repair, playing a key role in cell division and growth. This means your pet needs it to generate red blood cells, white blood cells and the intestinal cells that absorb vitamins and nutrients.
Prebiotic Preplex, a combination of fructooligosaccharide (FOS) and acacia (gum Arabic), helps feed the beneficial bacteria in the gut. This can create a diverse, healthy microbiome, with health benefits including better absorption and use of cobalamin and folic acid.
The capsules can be given whole or opened, and the palatable contents sprinkled onto food.
Cobalaplex is available in a pack containing 60 capsules.
The number of capsules can be increased or decreased as needed to maintain normal cobalamin (vitamin B12) levels. Your veterinary surgeon will be able to advise further on this.
