Meet the Speaker
Dr Dea Bonello
Med Vet, PhD, Spec Rad Vet, Dipl EVDC. EBVS, RCVS and Hong Kong Specialist
Dr Dea Bonello graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Turin. She also obtained a Diploma of Specialist in Veterinary Radiology and a PhD in Veterinary Internal Medicine.
After completing her alternate residency programme under the guidance of Professor Frank Verstraete, Head of Department of Dentistry at the University of California, Davis, she became a
Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Dentistry.
Dr Bonello worked in private practice as a Specialist in Dentistry, consulting for both small and large animals. In 2016, she established the first Veterinary Dental Practice in Italy.
She has served as President of the European Veterinary Dental College and of the Italian Society of Small Animal Veterinarians.
In 2022, Dr Bonello relocated to Hong Kong to establish the Dentistry and Oral Surgery Department at CityU Veterinary Medical Centre. She is currently the Head of the Dentistry and Oral Surgery Service at Harvest Veterinary Speciality and Emergency Hospital.
Dr Bonello has been a speaker at various veterinary meetings in Italy and abroad and has authored publications on veterinary and comparative odontostomatology (evdc.org).
